Fake e-mails to trick you into subscribing

I had several friends that had been getting fake e-mails through Match. They were e-mails from Russian women. We all know how that scam works. I had one of my friends write back and I told him how she would write back in her second e-mail professing her love, and sure enough it happened.

I had three e-mails come into my in box within about 2 minutes of each other. This was the first e-mails I had received. I had been a member of the site for about three months, but never subscribed. I told Match my hesitation about subscribing to read these e-mails as I suspected they were fake. I received the usual boiler plate response which said, I had to subscribe to read e-mail because it was a protection for their clients.

So, I went against my instincts and subscribed. Sure enough, the first e-mail was from a Russian woman wanting to come to America. The interesting thing was when you opened the e-mail it said that this person sending the e-mail did not even have a profile on Match. I thought according to Match's own TOS you had to create a profile and subscribe to send e-mail. HMMMMMM.

The second and third e-mails were from people that had profiles that were no longer found. HMMMMMM again.

The fourth e-mail was from a Match that never even came close to what I was looking for.

So, I paid a little over $50.00 for nothing but thin air and fraud. When I contacted Match their response was... Oh well. I asked for my money back because I felt that I had been deceived into subscribing and Match of course refused.

I guess I need to contact the Attorney General in their state as well as the Federal Attorney General since they are operating across state lines.

They talk allot of hype, but they are just like all the rest. They will do any thing they can to trick you out of your money and once they get it you are on your own.
