Overcharge Surprise - Given one price, paying much more in the end!

I requested a quote from Safeway Van Lines based in Landover, MD to move my belongings from Maryland to Florida.

Bill Shade, General manager at Safeway, referred me to an on-line application where I checked a list of household furnishings indicating what I was planning to have moved. When completed, the estimated total weight was 7,000 Lbs. Safeway Manager Bill Shade quoted me a flat rate of $2,100 to transport all of my 2 bedroom belongings from MD to FL.
I agreed to this rate and planned my move date for Friday, Nov 27. Mr. Shade never once mentioned any possible additional expense outside of the $2,100 which he quoted me in writing and on the phone. The final expense for the move, however, came to over $3,500! A gross underestimation on the part of Safeway... Which included an additional 2,000 lbs in my total weight moved (from an original on-line estimate of 7,000 Lbs and a cost of $2,100 to just over 9,000 Lbs for a final cost of over $3,500! How could they underestimate ONE TON of weight!

But thats just the beginning of the problems.
They misplaced (2) two living room tables and never replaced them.
No matter how often they've been contacted (even thru my attorney) Safeway never bothered to resolve these matters. I am going on three months of waiting!

The delivery truck hired by Safeway (that's right, they're a BROKER not a mover) accidently ran into an Exit Gate and a yellow guard pole (used to protect the gate) at the townhouse development where I live. The homeowners association at the complex charged the repair fee ($717.18) to my landlord who subsequently charged me for the damages!
