Breach of contract against buyer-would not HONOR or CARE about terms of completed sales agreement

Miscellaneous

On 1/10 I purchased a PAIR of Canton GLE speakers from amazon.com. A "pair" was clearly stated on the website posting, as well as my completed order page, of which I have pdf. And printed copies. When the "speakers" where delivered five days later, to my surprise the driver unloads one box out of the truck. I ask him to unload the second one and he states that it must be coming on the next shipment. The second speaker never arrives. When I get on the phone with amazon.com customer service, they immediately transfer me to "hardlines". I guess they selected the name to try and intimidate customers. Not easily bullied, I ask them for the shipping date of the next speaker. They tell me I only bought one speaker. When I point them to "My Orders" and show them the description line where it says "a pair" they put me on hold for a while, then come back and say they are sorry but they meant "a single" speaker. While all of this is going on, I try to go back to the original listing. It turns out they were pulling it while they had me on hold! The next time the listing comes up it says "a single" speaker and the price has changed! I state that any reputable vendor would stand behind the contract and ship a pair of speakers regardless of the price change. They refuse to do so and offer me a 25 dollar credit on my next purchase. They also give me the opportunity to buy both speakers at the single per speaker price. I ask them to pick the one they delivered up on their dime. Today 2/18/10 they are claiming that the carrier doesn't know where the speaker is after he picked it up on 1/18/10 and they are holding my 640 dollar refund.
