I just came back from the same Deer field Bach branch. I am the victim of identity theft, here is what happened: I saw that there were charges on my account from ATM with-drawls. I had not used an AT

Being a victim of identity, I would have hoped to be treated better than a common theif. When someone made a copy of my Bank Card, and somehow also got my pin number, my bank (TD Bank) said that such a thing is impossible. I would have had to give the card to someone else or made the ATM withdrawals myself. Well, thats not what the folks at the police dept. Said. They say it happens all the time. So, as you may have guessed, it was entirely up to me to pursue this case further. I had to file police reports in two cities, in the hopes that the camara footage during the withdrawals is still available, to put a face on the dirtbag (s) that did this to me. Being unemployed, I didn't have much money in the bank. I had a little over three hundred dollars when the charges started. There were only three illegal charges that were put on the card, but keep in mind that I didn't know what was going on yet, and kept using my card, putting on several additional charges. My account over-drew, and continued to ovedraft. Even when my unemployment check came in, I was still in the RED. So now I've been taken for over eight or nine hundred dollars (including about four hundred in OVERDRAFT fee's, (that the bank is doing nothing about). What am I to do? The people of TD bank say that it doesn't matter if video footage is retieved from the ATM camaras. They say that I could have simply given the card to someone. I absolutley hate being refered to as a liar, so to imply that I am also a thief is boiling my blood.
