Bicycles 101
Tim and company This store tried to rip me off!

We drove for over an hour to purchase a used bike from "Tim" at thisshop. On the phone he described the bike as in perfect working order, and in fact they had -just - finished a tune up on it. We canceled our plans and dropped everything to get to Florence and thestore before they closed...

What a joke. The front forks wereCOMPLETELY seized up. When I pointed this out to him he feignedsurprise and took it behind the counter where one of the employeesproceeded to beat on the forks with a mallet. Then switching to plan"B" tried to jump up and down on the handlebars and in the processended up slamming the bike onto the ground.

There is no way they could have tuned upthe bike without realizing the forks were seized. He either lied to meabout the tune up, OR knew about the problem and hoped to pass off thebroken bike to me. We ended up driving over 100 miles just to go home empty handed.

Theworst part about this situation is that instead of leaving the bikebehind the counter to be fixed, Tim wheeled it back into the showroom! (probably to sell to the next SUCKER!) DO NOT LET IT BE YOU!!!
