Mislead by the Neighborhood Assitance Corp of America

I went into an appointment after one of the seminars to aquire first time home buyers assistance. Once there I discovered that everything told to me in the seminar was untrue. I was told in order to get into a home I would need good rent history, which I have. Steady work history, which I also have, and financial documentaion which I provided. After losind a day off from work I was told that I did not qualify, That I could not afford to get into the progarm. Because i could not afford to pay the same on a mortage, tha I am paying and have been for year. Let me just say that I have a perfect rent hisory for years.

I was lead to believe that this program was created to assit people such as myself. After being talked down to, I was that if I came up with 18,000 dollars, they could help me get into a home for half the amount of rent that I'm paying now, because what I pay now in their opinon I could afford to pay it if it were a mortage. I HAVE A PERFECT RENT HISORY!!!

I was disappointed, and I felt that the program had mislead me
