Flips gymnastics~ disgusting employees and far worse?!? The owners!

On January 24th I decided once again to have my daughters 10th birthday at this location. I had an issue as well when she was 6, but since she or her friends were too young to notice the problems we came across, I agreed to let her have her party there. Very reluctantly if I do say so myself.

We got there on time for the party, only to be told that the other party was late and the girls were still cleaning up. For 15 minutes we all (parents and 18 children) waited in the hallway while the girls were sweeping the floor. Their idea of decorations? 3 balloons (all boy colors I might add) were tied to a barre. Luckily I brought items to decorate. You would assume that a company that supposedly does 6 to 8 parties every weekend would have either boy and girl decorations, or at least neutral colors.

Because I brought my own decorations, a girl who was supposed to be helping decided to leave me and 2 friends to do their job. Wasn’t I paying for them to do it? Where did the hunter green dirty linens wind up? On the floor. When I said I had my own things, she pulled them off the table and onto the floor they went. My mother folded and brought the linens to an outside table in the gym. The girl that was supposed to be helping? No where in sight. Before I know it, it’s time for the kids to come in. Why is it before I know it? Because they were only in the gym for 45 minutes. Did I know that at the time? No. I was too distracted trying to entertain the kids. They brought out 2 2-liters of soda. I thought nothing of it, assuming that they only brought out 2 at a time. When they asked if they could use some of the soda I provided for the adults, I again thought nothing of it. I thought maybe they ran out of a specific flavor and they needed what I already had. Turns out, this company is expecting to provide less than 8 fluid ounces for 18 kids. This venue thinks that 1 hour and 45 minutes is enough for up to 18 kids to eat, drink, play a game, and play in the gym is enough time? IMPOSSIBLE!

The messenger says that it happens. Well how can this be done? Possibly having the child open the presents at home, not many gifts, kids not finishing their food, or any other possibility.

These girls had the NERVE to tell me that the party would be over in 10 minutes trying to push me out the door ON TIME! Of course I refused to leave on time. I provided the linens, the silverware, plates and accessories. 2 of the girls stayed in the corner of the room the entire time defaming me for making them stay late. I thought they were supposed to be helping? I’m confused as to how this is my fault.

Well, I call the next day and complain. After being bounced around to 3 different people and 5 phone calls later, we finally get a hold of the “messenger” After stating my complaints; she said she’d call back. Of course she does NOT. I called back a day later. She tries top tell me that they get NOTHING but compliments, and I’m the first to complain. Not only do I find that HARD to believe, I find out that this company’s dance studios attendance has dropped dramatically due to the 2 owners fighting and cursing in front of the children. What am I offered? A free t-shirt, (which of course is a business ploy to promote their company) or $20 off another party. ANOTHER PARTY!?!!?! Are these people insane?!? I tell her I refuse to accept that and to call me with something reasonable. I wait 4 days only to get a phone call back from them finally (because heaven forbid their in that office) and am told by the “messenger” (I must admit that I call her the messenger because every time I say something she says ‘well I’m just the messenger.’) that they will do nothing for me except what they have previously offered.

If you even attempt to tell them that you will take them to court, they will turn around and say they will counter sue for the cost of a lawyer and his fees.

So please. Go to the better business bureau and check out your birthday location. Ask friends and/or friends of friends. Ask as many questions as possible because if you don’t you will get NO compensation whatsoever from this place.
