Swoopo scam. You can never win

I was searching for a deal on an iphone and swoopo.com came up first in my google search. I went to the site and figured I'd give it a shot. Spent $45 and started bidding.

It's an interesting concept and the owners are getting very rich. I don't have a problem with that, the reason I filed this is because it basically is not possible to win.

I say that because while I was bidding on 3 auctions, I watched in disbelief as the timer went from under 10 seconds to over 10 minutes!!! The real scam is the bidbutler which will autobid for you. They get everyone to "autobid" and all of a sudden 100's of bids come in, each bid adding 10 seconds to 30 seconds to the timer. WHAT A JOKE!

In fact all three of the auctions I started bidding on at noon are still running 7 hours later when all three had less than 20 seconds left on them when I started.

Very cleaver and VERY deceptive. Who knows if these are actually real bids or if they have rigged the site to just add 10 or 15 minutes to the bidding whenever it gets close.

The only people who win on this are the owners of the site. They make thousands on each item. If they made it a bit more fair it would be a great site and fun.

Wish i could get my $45 back!
