No REFUND for an order THEY cancelled

I placed an order on Dec. 16 (for a Christmas gift), paid by credit card and received confirmation it had been approved.
On Dec. 28 I was notified my ordered had been cancelled because the item was "out of stock", which I highly doubted since it was still on sale on their website.
On Jan. 8 after about 30 emails from my part asking for clarification, I was told that they cancelled the order because they couldn't ship it to France... Though I had filled out all the details of the shipping address on their website before I received the confirmation!
In any case, it has now been 1.5 months and I am still waiting for my refund. I must have send 50 emails to enquire about the status and haven't received a single response.
Unacceptable.
