YOUR AUTOMOTIVE SOLUTION Discounted Auto Service Bait and Switch advertising Unauthorized repairs and Horrible customer service

I went in to have an oil change done at Discount Auto Service Your Automotive Solution and all seemed to go well at the begining. I saw the ad for a discounted oil change. I asked how much it would be to have the oil changed on my Vehicle and he told me it would be $20.83 (more than the ad price because I wanted better oil). I said that would be fine. I was told the service would take about 25 minutes. So I sat down and waited. After about 25 minutes they finally pulled the car into the shop. As they where working on the vehicle I said I would like to go ahead and pay for the service that way when the car was done I could be on my way. I went ahead and payed the bill for $20.83. I thought all was good and I would be on my way as soon as they wrapped up.
They pulled the car out and then DAVE the shop manager/machanic told the cashier to ad an extra $5 to the bill for removing the plastic cover to get to the oil filter (something no other shop charges its included in the price of an oil change). I was stunned! I couldnt believe they would charge for something like that. It is literally is removing 4 screws and I could do it in less than 30 seconds.
I asked to speak to the owner Loni and she came out and I explained I had already payed the price they had originally quoted for the service they gave me. I told her that I would pay the bill but I would be writing several complaints or she could just waive the fee. She then said "OK go ahead and pay the bill." I was shocked! They where willing to drop a customer for $5! What kind of service is that.
I paid the bill and left. I WILL NOT GO BACK and I Advise everyone not to go there either! It is on Gilbert Road and Broadway in Mesa. There are to many other, good reliable honest automotive shops out there to waste your time and money at this place.
