They Collected my money for a bankruptcy filing. When they did not complete I requested a refund to date I have not gotten it back

This company contacted me during a very hard time in my life. I had been out on disability and behind in my house payments. They promise that they could help me. They collected over $2500.00 dollars from me stating that they could not start until I paid them in full. Once they received all the money the tried to make me pay an additional $799.00. At this time I became suspious due to they had not done anything for the $2500. All the while my situation was worsening. I gave the creditors they phone number and name which I had been instructed by Heather C. At Jackson, Crowder and Associates. Then the creditors never stop calling me. Stating they had not gotten any result from the attorney's office handling my case. At this time I phoned and requested my full refund and that I was placing my home up for short sale per the agreement I made with the bank, since they had not been able to help me in keeping my home or filing my bankruptcy to stop the harrassment from the creditors. To date I have been awaiting my refund from the bank with no prevail. Now their phone numbers are disconnected and I fear that I will never be compensated for all they put me through. I went on line this morning to find that they were not even attorney's even though the proclaimed to be. If there is anyone that can help me it would be appreciated. That was a lot of money to come up with when you did not have it in the beginning. I am still experiencing a hardship financially and the creditors have not stopped and I have no more money to get help.
