I went to Gabrielle's Bridal on December 19th, told the owner I want to purchase the gown I liked at the cheapest price possible, she said what's on the price tag is the cheapest she can do but will throw in a free veil for me. Then she proceeded to tell me the options on the dress: the color, the lace color, and the sizes. I put down a deposit for the gown that day, then the next following day, 12/20, I called up another bridal boutique, and found out that they were selling the exact same dress for $600 cheaper. I called Gabrielle's Bridal immediately asking them to hold the order and not to process until we talked about this. I also emailed her the same day. I emailed and called again the following day 12/21.

Owner responded on 12/22 and told me she would try to stop the order and asked me to provide her the name of the other bridal shop that is selling the same gown at such a cheaper price and said she would try to match it. When the information was provided, she claimed the designer has to approve the discount first, and told me verbal quote does not work. Fair enough, so I provided her internet pricing from another bridal store that is also selling it $600 cheaper. Then she told me the price quote has to come from an authorized retailer from the designer's list. Ok, I went and emailed a bunch of authorized retailer that sells this designer's gown, a bunch of them wrote back with a price quote a lot cheaper than Gabrielle's price, ranging from $250 to $600 cheaper.

I provided her the needed information and meanwhile asked her to hold the order, then she told me she couldn't stop the order, it had gone to manufacturing department, then I asked her to contact manufacturing to tell them to stop it, it has only been 2 business days, highly unlikely anything has been started on the making of this gown. She then made excuses such as I can't contact the manufacturing directly or they are gone for the day. So she never stopped the order for me even after I asked. So she went on and told me she couldn't give me this discount even with the legitimate price quote provided by authorized retailers.in the end, she refused to refund me the deposit nor did she gave me the price difference.in the meantime, I found out through numerous other bridal shop that Gabrielle's is selling me the dress at the 2010 price, even though it was December. And also, I found out that the dress also comes in the option of No beading, which would make it $630 cheaper than the price she sold me at. S

He never disclose this option to me while I was putting down the deposit. And when I confronted her about I was charged the 2010 price and why was I not told about the no beading option, she ignored me and never responded to my questions. I asked her to change the gown to the no beading version so that way we will both be happy, and this is only 2 days after the gown was ordered, beading are not put on until the very last step of making a dress, so she had plently of time to change it for me, however, she chose to ignore my request and didn't even discuss with me the option of chaning it to no beading even though she admitted and confirmed there is a no beading version of the gown. She had completely ruined this experience for me, it was supposed to be a once in a life time experience, and she robbed it from it by making it so difficult and stressful.

My fiancee filed a credit card dispute when she was being so uncorporative, but then we no longer want to waste our energy on her and her poor business practice and dropped the dispute. And then when I wrote a bad review about her on a popular community review website, she wrote me an email to my personal email account telling me that she can't wait till my dress arrives so she can send me on my way, and that she will only accept Cash as final payment on the dress. I told her that the contract clearly stated Cash and Credit card payment are accepted as final payment when I signed it, so she can't just change it on me when she feels like it. Then she told me she has the rights to refused credit card payment from me. I told her it was not something we agreed on when I signed the contract. She ignored me and told me Cash only as final payment. Based on my experience with her business, the owner is unprofessional, unethical and untrustworthy.
