Poor Customer Service and Quality of Product

I purchased a Snowbear trailer and rarely am I as disappointed in a product as I have been with this purchase. Within 6 months the lighting system stopped working correctly. The lighting is cheaply constructed. I replace the lighting with quality LED components and rewired the trailer and had no more issues with lighting.

I then experienced what was in my opinion a premature bearing failure. While pulling the trailer the wheel bearing pretty much exploded. When I took the wheel apart there was nothing left of the bearing except the races. I contacted Snowbear and their only response was that the trailer was out of warranty. Out of warranty or not, they should have assisted me in fixing the problem since the bearing should not have failed as early as it did.

Their customer service was also VERY slow to respond to my inquiries and when they did they were all over the place with their comments. First they told me the wheel bearings are to be repacked every six months or 1000 miles per the manual. The manual does not say this and says to CHECK the bearings and repack if necessary. After I countered this statement they came back and said the bearings have to be repacked every year. The manual also does not say this.

It is my opinion that Snowbear knew this bearing failure was premature and they were making things up as they go to avoid providing the service that any good business would provide. I've had several manufacturers provide service after a warranty expired when it was shown that the failure was premature based on average failure rates for their products. So, the only thing I'm left to believe is that Snowbear either doesn't care about their customers or they have a high failure rate with their products. Both reasons to stay away from this company.
