Bad Customer Service - No Clue

I have been wanting to switch phone companies so I did a little online research. I kept having a problem with Metro PCS's web site, whenever I entered my zip code it would default to another zip code and then tell me service was not available in my area. After trying a few zips in my area, I called the 800 number on the website. The guy that answered said that they were having problems with the website because of the storms in California... WHAT??? He proceeded to tell me it was also effecting phone service in the area. I can understand the storms causing problems with phone service, but no way can it affect their website. Without being in a service area, you can't check out the phones or plans.
After the call, I checked out complaint and now I am happy I am not going to switch after reading everyone's comments about this company.
