Royal Credit Services
Ripoff They prey on the vulnerable

Miscellaneous

I want to offer my sincerest thanks to those of you who posted negative reports about Royal Credit Services and their alias', and my thanks to complaint for affording the opportunity for consumers to do so. Thanks to you, I was inspired to do a little more research, and learned this company is a fraud before it was too late.

I got a call from them, offering to send an unsecured Visa or Mastercard if I authorized them to withdraw $296.00 from my bank account. Being skeptical, I repeatedly verified with them over the phone that this was not a "merchandise" credit card, a secured credit card, or a stored value credit card, but a legitimate unsecured Visa or Mastercard with a $2,500. Credit limit. I was repeatedly assured this is what I would be getting.

'Why would they lie, ' I thought, 'that would be fraud, and illegal...' I got a lecture about how they've "been in business for a long time" and they wouldn't scam people because it's against the law and it's not worth losing their company, and if they wanted to scam people they'd steal more than $296... And yadda yadda... Finally I was convinced.

They know people who have trouble getting a credit card are vulnerable, because credit cards are so vital to have these days when you can't even rent a car without one, and, frankly, my credit isn't that bad, so I wanted to believe him, because I think I deserve one. BUT after I hung up the phone, I went straight to this website and saw all of the negative reports, people who got merchandise cards instead of Visa cards, people who got "how to repair your credit" booklets and nothing else for their $296... Which motivated me to try the phone number I'd been given by them, and the website address I'd been given.

The website does not exist, and the phone number is not legitimate; it just rings and rings. They try to reassure skeptics over the phone by providing this information, but once you hang up and try to use them, they don't work.

Don't fall for it like I did; it's a CON to try and gain your trust. Luckily, thanks to you folks on here, I have the chance to close my bank account before the withdrawal is due to take place, and open a brand new account that they can't touch. The bank says they could sue for their money, but I hope I can convince the courts these people are a fraud, based on the phoney web address and phone number I was given, and all these negative reports on here, and I hope the court will decide I was justified in closing the account and refusing to pay.

These people prey on the vulnerable. People that don't have "outstanding" credit are made to feel like second class citizens in this society, and these people make you feel like finally someone is acknowledging you deserve the credit others have denied you. It seems too good to be true and it is. Don't let your wishful thinking make you decide to give them your bank information!
