Do NOT do business with them!

Not only do I agree with the negative reviews already posted here, but want to add that the company is incredibly unprofessional and engages in corrupt business practices.

My things were damaged in the move, so I had to fill out damage request form through a third party co in order to assess the extent and cost of the damage. Once I finished this process, I called ORI to see when they would send me the damage reimbursement. They claimed that they didn't receive it. When I asked the damage assessment co. About this, they told me that ORI had received the claim over a month ago, so I called back. ORI then finally admitted that they DID receive the claim, but that I wouldn't receive my reimbursement until 3 mos. After the date of file. After 3 mos., I did not receive any contact or checks from ORI. When I called, they were rude and said that they would send me the check right away. This dragged on for another month before they told me that they were having a slow cash flow since it was the winter.

They said that they would issue the check asap. When I finally received the check almost 8 mos after my move, the check BOUNCED. When I called ORI about this, they said that they would re-issue the check plus the fees I'd incurred, but this was totally a lie. I filed a complaint on the BBB and called ORI back to ask about the check. On the BBB site, they said that they would re-issue the check, but when I talked to an ORI rep, she was incredibly rude and said that, b/c I had filed a complaint against them, the owner was "mad" and wouldn't want to talk to me about issuing my damage reimbursement check!

What kind of a business is this? She tried to make me feel responsible, as if I had done something wrong b/c I had contacted the BBB about their business practices. They lie on their responses on the BBB site in an effort to improve their grade and they lie on moving company review sites. They are liars and so I hope that you all learn from my story that you SHOULD NOT HIRE ORI VAN LINES—EVER!
