Outrageously High electric Bills

To Whom It May Concern:

My Mother Erna Krischak started to notice that her electric bill was almost triple the amount from October to November and using over 1000 over the "usage" amount than from pervious months. When calling ComEd they said it was because the last two bills were estimates and we were underestimated, that's why this bill was so high? The next month we received an even higher bill, which was another estimate and showed us using and even higher amount of "usage". Unbelievable!!!

We pretty much use the same amount of electric in the house on a daily basis, and do not have a lot of extra appliances or lights on... And even with the heat (which by the way is gas) kicking in, in the winter time, it would not cause such a dramatic increase in the electric "usage".

I have tried calling this monopoly of a company at least 6 times already, and spoken to at least 6 different people... All who could use a course in proper customer service and have received "a supervisor will call you back". Nothing about when or how long or what time, so I imagine one must sit around the clock and wait... This is BS!

My Mother can no longer afford to pay these high electric bills and is going to have to do something else...

I am going to have to contact a lawyer, or someone, for help with this arrogant, and disrespectful rip-off company, and engage in a lawsuit! I can no longer tolerate the arrogant and condescending behavior of these people and this company.

I have searched the internet and have read numerous complaints just like mine, and am wondering what is going on with this ComEd??? I'm sure they are getting a high amount of complaints, but are instructed to keep us in the dark. Now I will find out myself what kind of practices are going on with innocent people falling victim to this God-Awful company.

What happened to our rights???
