I had a 300.00 limit on my card. Because of financial difficulties we had gotten behind and it has {with late fees and finance charges] gotten to 511.54 cents. We are enrolled into their payment plan were we pay 20.00 a month. I just cashed out a retirement that I didnt need anymore. I called today and wanted to negotiate a payoff. I offered to pay 400.00 today to close the account. I was told by the supervisor Daniel Mcneel that because we were not 2 months behind on our payment plan then they would not discuss a payoff. And the least he would take would be the full amount of 511.54. I stated that it would take 2.5 yrs. To pay it off at 20.00 a month and he told me that was tough. He was not willing to take anything less. Then he hung up on me. No wander the banking system is in such bad shape. Oh by the way I was able to negotiate with other credit people to lower their payments so shame on you Mr. Daniel Mcneel. I hope GE MONEY BANK AND other companies see what kind of supervisor you are. I believe I will contact the Attorney General and maybe even Pres. Obama.
