Days Inn open doors - motel room/customer service

Filthy room: cobwebs, dirty shower, dirty coffee pot, old coffee grounds & filter in coffeemaker, not vacuumed well, deadbolt didn't work very well. On 4th day there, we left our room about 11:30am, my husband returned around 1:30pm found the door wide open, he assumed since maids were in the area that they were cleaning, he complained to them & front desk. Later returned at 1:15am found the door still wide open, unmade room & thankfully nothing stolen. Talked to manager next am at check out & was told we had left door open, & it wasn't clean because do not disturb sign was out. She said maid is truthful. When I raised my voice to say that didn't matter. Owner slammed down the phone she was talking on, pointed her finger at me & told me to stop or she would call police. As there was a cop car outside inspecting a truck I said why bother they're already here & walked out. They gave my husband a lousy $5 off each night for the inconvenience. $20 bucks total. Doesn't make up for the indignation
