Palm Pre
Kept it For 2 Days - Phone itself

I waited for months for Palm to bring out the Pre and stood in line starting at 5 AM to get one.
Now here's what led me to return the phone 2 days later.
1. It wouldn't get out from my house which admittedly is in a poor signal area however side by side with a 2 year old Katana II... Non 3G phone... It didn't do anywhere as well as my old phone in making calls.
2. It would not pair with any of my three blue tooth devices (turning only one on at a time then off and attempting to pair the next), My Katan II paired with all three.
3. No Voice Dial… no that is not in the specs, but the use of other sprint phones which had that feature led silly me to believe it would be available.
4. Using the browser on site where I had to enter a password was almost impossible in spite of zoom features.
5. The lack of a printed manual meant a search through endless menus to find what I needed. Far too steep a learning curve for someone who considers himself fairly well versed in technology
6. Yes the multi-tasking is great and the cards are a wonderful GUI, but when it didn't operate well as a phone or browser, I was done.
7. I may try an I-phone but ATT pricing for anything like the Sprint Everything Plan is way to expensive... So I am going to sit out this until prices come down and the phones are better.
8. I do hope Palm is successful. It is a great concept, but from my point of view flawed in its execution.
