Dishonest and of little integrity in their contracts

We contacted related images via email when we were expecting our first child. We explained clearly that we move often and would only deal with a photographer that would be willing to give us the original negatives/or quality digital images to take with us as we had done in the past in various parts of the country. Karla responded to our email and agreed that she would do this for us if we bought around $500 worth of prints from her. We had a few more emails and calls with her addressing these same concerns, and each time we were assured that it would not be a problem getting all of our images (raw images). We had her take the pictures, and were ok with the quality of them. We ended up purchasing around $600 worth of prints from her. When we asked about getting the photos to take with us, she refused until we remined her of the arrangement (we have all of the emails that we can use as evidence if we decide to proceed with a contract law suit). She then went on to allow us to narrow down the scope of our request because she said all the the prints would be too many. This was confusing in how she did this, but we narrowed it down to around 30. The disc she send us, after reminded her a few times, only had 8 photos on it. My wife had some heated discussions with her and Karla refused to honor our original arrangement and would not provide anything else.in SC you have 3 years to file a contract law suit, so this is still an option for us. We have spoken to a few other couples who also had bad experiences with Karla and we intend to contact the Better Business Bureau about her business. It is our experience that they will promise anything to get your business, then breach their promise once they start getting money from you. I strongly recommend that you do not use this business, there are others in the Greenville area that do an awesome job for less money and give you all of your originals to take with you. We have switched to a great local photographer in the area that if easy to deal with and honest.
