Amazon
Advertised loose diamonds but didn't have the diamonds in stock for the price advertised

Miscellaneous

We carefully researched loose diamonds and ordered one from Amazon which we thought was a good deal. It was supposed to be GIA certified. After we ordered, Amazon notified us that our order was canceled because there was a chip in the diamond which didn't show up in the GIA report, and the girdle of the diamond didn't match the GIA report. So basically they falsely or misleadingly advertised this particular stone.
We ordered a second loose diamond from Amazon that was $700 more than the first one. A couple of days later, we received an email that this diamond was out of stock/not available. When we called customer service, the lady said they would get something similar in stock and we could have the similar one. However, every diamond is unique, and we picked specifications for a price that are difficult to find.
We are beginning to think Amazon's whole diamond department is a fraud.
