Attempted rip-off - breaks&rotors

I was told by the worker at Monroe Muffler that my breaks and rotors needed replaced that they measured 1/32 (?) and that was dangerous. Also that was the minimun the state would allow. He offered to take me home if I would leave the car for them to do the work.By the way, this was going to cost "approximately $500.00". The car is now at the dealership for the alledged break job, Guess what? Just got a call from the dealership, no break job needed. If required I can supply the name of the con-man, the exact date and time etc. (can't do it now because my car is at the dealership for the "break job". And the recipt (for the oil change and tire rotation, which is the only thing I was there for) is in the car.
