7100 Company withheld 300 from security deposit return. Mgr Nick Murphy told me I would get full refund of security deposit. He told me the apt looked good when he did a walk through

31st Ave LLC kept $300 of my security deposit. The manager NIck Yasania Murphy did a walk through and said everything looked great and there shouldn't be any problems. He told me to make sure to leave keys in the apartment and lock the apt. I did so. I went to pick up my 1925 security deposit and was surprised that it was only for 1625. They withheld 300 stating they needed to clean it and the microwave handle was broken. I cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, oven, etc for hours before move out. The only thing that was left slightly dirty were the floors which needed to be swept. Definately not a $300 job. The microwave handle broke by normal use. I opened the microwave the first day I moved in and it broke. I called the management co and never got a return phone call. My contract states that the apt can have normal wear and tear... And that is my case. This company basically stole 300 from me and probably do it to everyone else. Do not rent with them... If you are renting don't pay your last month's rent... That's what I should have done.
