Barbara, Barb Lew Money hungry, dishonest, will cheat you out of your money... Do not rent from her!

Do not rent any rental property from Barb Lew. She seems really nice in the beginning, but when you move out she is a different person.

At the end of my lease I decided to move. She was obviously mad that I was moving and that she would have another vacant apartment.

My apartment was is in perfect condition. I had it professionally cleaned and had the carpet cleaned (as was required in the lease) she said that the carpet needed to be cleaned again and that she would have to have her cleaning lady clean the apartment. Absolutley ridiculous! Her cleaning lady was the neighbor who saw my apartment after having it cleaned and said it was perfect.

The words normal wear and tear do not exist to her. She had her cleaning lady bleach in between each tile on the counter and floors so that it looked brand new. I left them clean.

After three weeks of moving out Barb still didn't return my deposit. I had to notify her to return my deposit to me, as it had been three weeks and California law states that she hasn three weeks to return it. She is "very busy", it took a week for her to return my phone calls to come and do the final walk through. She was shocked when I asked for receipts for the things she would be deductingfrom the deposit.

She had the carpet cleaned in the apartment next to mine and is trying to make me pay for it (mine didn't need to be cleaned, so she'll pocket more money if she has me pay for the other persons). She does everything she can to keep money from the deposit.

She is also a real estate agent, I would never trust her with my business. At the final walk through we were talking about jobs and she said "nothing is too exhausting to make money" that pretty much sums her up. She'll do anything to pocket your money, even if it is dishonest.

Stay away from her! She almost always has apartments for rent on Craigslist on Cherokee Ave.in Normal Heights
