PRS - Premier Reader Services
Premier reader services The company scammed me out of $270.00

Miscellaneous

The company contacted me while I was at work in 2007 form an unavailable number. They stated that I have been chosen to win a free gold necklace. I figured it might have been real since I do enter sweepstakes. The male representative then went on to say that in addition to the necklace, I have been offered a 5 month subscription to 5 magazines for $56.00. So stupidly I thought it was a good deal. I gave him my debit card information and then he said there is an automated part before I can completely sign up. While the machine was talking, I could not hear because the representative was talking over the machine, so when I asked him to be quiet because I could not hear, I heard the machine say 5 years!!! I immediately said No, Im not paying for 5 years of magazines. He then pretended he could not hear me, the phone got silent, and then the call was disconnected. The next day, I was contacted by my bank that a company was trying to take an amount from my account and asked me did I authorize it. I told them what happened and they put a block on the company from accessing my account. Then I started receiving threatening letters saying that if I didnt pay them then they would send it to collections. Me being young, I knew collections was not a good thing so I called them and they settled for $270.00 and said my account would be closed. Again stupidly, I paid it. Now, They have contacted me 2 years later saying that my payment was only for 2 years and I owe them for the other 3! I am currently filing a lawsuit against them for theft and harrassment.

Please use caution with this company!!! They are nothing but liars, and con artists!
