Billing for Service

I cancelled my service with Cablevision on May 8. I was billed for Service until June 25. Therefore I am left with an outstanding bill that was sent to a collection agency jeopardizing my credit. I called Cablevision several times, they would do nothing to rectify the situation. They stated that the only service that was disconnected on May 8 was my telephone. This is not true.
