Ssa scam, paid cash and never received anything!

A younger couple that said they were in high school, wearing varsity jackets even... Came to my door to sell magazines in order to raise money to go on this trip to the behamas. I called some friends & neighbors to come over and helped get them a couple houndred dollars in orders and none of the orders ever arrived. They were offering a discount for those of us that could pay cash... So we did. Months later I called the company because the magazines never arrived. I thought that even with a legit receipt with the company would help me get the money back if it did turn out to be a scam, over a month ago I faxed a copy to the company and they said it would be 7-10 business days I would recieve a refund. I have called and the lady was rude and even hung up on me.
