As of 8/27/09 read this one! - Direct TV scam

I thought I was also getting a great deal! I signed up and the first month they auto drafted 2 months instead of one. It over drafted my account cost me extra $35.2 monthes later same thing! Now I'm out $70. Right haha! I now send my payments. I sent my payment last week 10 days ago! I woke up to no tv. I called and they say they never got payment. So I say well I will make another payment via check if they use the same check # wich is at my guess sitting on a desk for the last 3 days because some jackass forgot to deposite it. They take my payment and its back on while I'm still on the phone, I ask well do you want the check # so you don't deposite the check she says no we don't do that we will just credit your account. I don't know about you but times are tight and I can't afford to have a double payment as of now. So now I had to cancel payment on check at $30. I call to complain about this isue and get hung up on 7 times before I finaly get a supervisor and I tell him the same story I have told 6 other people that took 2 1/2 hours and he says sorry for your luck nothing I can do. SO I'm not paying any more! I told them when you guys shut me off next time I'm destroying the equipment & put it little boxes and sending it back. He said I will have to pay for the stuff plus an early disconect fee of totaling just under $600. Well I own my house and cars so I guess I will be in collections for 3 years before it drops off my credit report CUZ I'M NOT PAYING ANYMORE!!! Direct tv does suck! They do cater to new customers and don't care about long term ones. The superviser admitted it to me. Call and ask for him his name is Jay. His boss is Mike and he wont take any calls go figure...
