Fast Food Everywhere
No Gloves-more common than you think

Miscellaneous

I've been coming across a lot of complaints about consumers seeing fast food employees prepare their meals without gloves. I know it's unsettling, but as someone who's worked at a few different 'fast food' joints let me tell you - It is more common than you think!
Not only are the employees guilty, I've seen MANAGERS do this! They'd go in the back room for a smoke break (Yes, INSIDE the store) and then rush to the food prep station to prepare sandwiches without even washing their hands!
It seems filthy when you think about it, but I look at it this way - In 5-star eating establishments, the chefs do not wear gloves. Watch Top Chef, or Iron Chef, or ANY food challenge show. No gloves. Do you wear gloves at home when preparing meals? Do you force your friends to, when eating at their home? I mean, it's kind of a double-edge here.
On one hand, YES, I do feel that these employees should exhibit good sanitation practices, but I do NOT think customers should get all bent out of shape as often as they do! My advice would be to simply CALMLY bring it to someone's attention, and not over-react! Believe me, acting like you are owed the world over a $6 meal is just sad.
