Withdrew 49.95 from my checking account without my consent

I recently had 49.95 taken out of my checking account without my consent. I contacted the bank, wachovia, and they said the only thing i could do was to close my account.

The information from wachovia was the above phone number and internet site. When i tried to call and press one for consumers, the phone just disconnects. The message says if you are a bank calling about a customer to dial this number702-989-8969 and leave a message, that someone would get back to you in an hour.

I believe this came about somehow, from making the mistake of applying for online loans, which i know is VERY stupid, but we were short some extra money for our mortgage.

The bank rep. Also told me that the company{if you can call it that} has my social security number. I am closing that account today.

I certainly hope someone can bring these thieves to justice, my brother had his identity stolen, with little he could do, i guess its good, that at this time we have no credit cards, the only saving grace.
