Progressive Business Publications
Charged my credit card for a subscription never authorized or received

Miscellaneous

We approved one subscription over the phone, and we received a fax confirmation. We gave them our credit card number to pay for this subscription entitled: CFO & CONTROLLERS ALERT. The total amount was $299.00. This was in September.

Then in March this company placed another charge on our credit card account for $299.00. We called the credit card company to dispute this charge and also tried to contact PBP at the number on shown their fax confirmation we received for the initial subscription. This number is not a working number. We then called the 800 number and told them we were disputing this charge. They said PBP sent us another subsciption on a trial basis. This 800 number is apparently a collection agency on behalf of PROGRESSIVE BUSINESS PUBLICATIONS.

We never received or agreed to a trial subscription. We also never received any sort of Invoice from this company for an additional subscription. They simply took the liberty of charging our credit card account for an additional unauthorized subscription.
