Beaware - Internet rip off scam

I come across an innocent email which telling me that for merely paying the postage ($2.90) and you will get a CD that will help you get Grants from Government or Business and successful rate is high.

So, I paid on line with my Discover card thinking what to be loss of $2.90. Right? There is a fine print in the web site as Term and I have opened it and scan down for "$" sign but failed to come up one. So, I just submit the deal. Then, I get a bill for $74.95 in my credit card bill. I call the 888-662-8762 number right away to cancel the membership which automatically join you.

After several tries and finally talk to a person, he acknowledge the cancellation and then the phone disconnect without any warning. So, I tried again and again and talk to another person again. He will do the samething the phone disconnect before giving out the confirmation. Finally, next day, I get contact with a person named "Valerie" in extension 11 and she said the membership has been cancelled and as I am waiting for the confirmation, the phone disconnect again.

Now, this merchant sending info "Term and Policy" to credit card saying that I have received the merchandise and they entitled for the charge. My credit card told me that unless I come up with confirmation information, I will have to paid this.

I really don't mind to paid service or merchandise that I can use and consume. But, this is really a scam in a dirty way. I just want to let more perople notice this and do not fall in to this scam. It comes in many way in email or link in legitmate web site. SO, Be Careful out there.

By the way, I am still trying to contact this merchant but the phone only said "extention 1 is not available, good bye". I will made this known locally as well nationally. This is a real scam!!!
