The neverending battle - Internet service provide

I should have read reviews before I signed up. You cannot call and cancel unless you do not work and can go through endless loops over hours and hours. And if you do get someone over in India, they keep telling you they do not have the authority to cancel your account unless you give them more money. I cancelled 2 months ago and they are now dinging me for another $10 for this month's service. When I told the rep I was having a hard time understanding them (because they had a very thick accent) they started yelling the information to me. I am not deaf I just need enunciation. I got around this by using a credit card that was expiring but now if I do not pay them they are going to send me to a collection agency for $10. I finally got the rep to understand that they had to send me an email with the balance and I would not pay over the phone, I wanted a paper trail. I got another new cancellation confirmation number and an invitation for a free month of service if I would not cancel. And no, they have no customer service based in the USA. Eventhough the woman said her name was "Nancy" I sincerely doubt that was the name her parents gave her. I would never recommend this company or its people. And I am going to let the BBB in St. Louis, MO know too.
