Unauthorized Charges - Making Interest Off of Our Money!

I was charged a monthly fee of $19.95 plus tax on my telephone bill. Anyone can add charges to your bill if they have your phone number.

I did not authorize this charge, nor did I need the service they offer. I called to have the membership cancelled and to request a refund on May 4th. They tried to convince me it was my fault for not responding to their confirmation email. I explained that like most people I do not open messages if I do not recognize the name. They finally agree to cancel the membership.

On May 28th I noticed that it again appeared on my new phone bill. I called again and was told they had no record of my phone call or letter. I went through the same argument again and was again informed they would stop the membership.

The thing that really has me angry is even if they refund the money they keep it for 2-3 billing cycles. If they do this all over the country and just keep the money for 3 months it is probably a pretty nice income just on interest.

There is a serious problem with letter people get away with this. You will also notice that it is a long distance call to contact them.in this economy these little things add up.

This has happened to other people as well on their Cincinnati Phone bill.
