Unauthorized charge of $29.95 on Qwest telephone bill Los Angeles Nationwide

I immediately noticed an unauthorized charge on out Qwest phone bill because our phone bill is the same every month, and this bill was $50 higher. On the last page titled 'ESBI' for 'Enhanced Telecommunications Services' were two unidentified charges: Orbit Telecom Monthly Fee of $14.95 and SBO-Online SBO Survival kit of $29.95. This report is about the SBO-Online charge of $29.95.

I called the 800 number for ESBI, who I gather are just a billing company for Qwest. They told me to call SBO-Online at 1-877-726-4222. I spoke to a representative called 'Sugar' who said the charge was for 'help with a small business organization' and claimed this had been ordered 'online'. I told them I did not order this or authorize these charges and she said the charges would be removed. She said it would take up to 2 months to do so and said they were all ready to bill us for the next months charges and that there were penatly fees if the charges were not paid. She also said there was no way to dispute these charges in writing. I told them I was not going to pay any unauthorized charges. We also called Qwest, repeated the story, and refused to pay the unauthorized part of the bill.

Dont be misled by the name of this company who claim they are 'The Small Business Organization'. This company is in the business of the theft of peoples money!

I was extrenmely surprised how easily a company can bill us (via our Qwest phone bill) for charges that we did not authorize. This is fraudulent and theft, pure and simple. Who knows how many people don't notice these charges and are ripped-off by these thieves.
