Dead Dog in 36 hours. NO sympathy, oh help

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a puppy for the past couple of months. We knew we wanted a purebred and were willing to pay a little more if it meant having a registered dog that we may one day be able to breed.

We fell in love when we went to Arky Barky and saw the dog we wanted! We took her home that night after playing with her for 2 hours in the store, with a guarantee of a vet that could cover all shots and visits for free.

The morning after we got her home, she acted as if she was having a difficult time breathing. We called the vet that day, who was out of town and the dog could not be seen until the next week.

Things only got worse. She would not eat and would not stand up on her own. When we touched her, she would howl.By dinner time, the dog collapsed in her crate. My boyfriend rushed her to the vet who immidetietly said she looked malnourished, smelled like she was dying and looked to be in final stages of parvo. He said it looked like she would not make it through the night. The vet commented that the dog was obviously suffering. We had not even named her yet.By recommendation from the vet, and vet assistant she was too weak to endure any other testing, we had to put her down.

Arky Barky was called immediately. The manager insisted that the dog was fine when she left and obviously felt NO SYMPATHY. Another worker had to get on the phone, because the manager was so rude, inconsiderate, irritated, cold, and was constantly interrupting us. This woman did not care and told my boyfriend "do not even come back to return the unopened pet supplies you bought with her".

Vet recommended we take her for autopsy to prove she was unhealthy when she was bought, and commented that they have seen THE SAME THING with other dogs from ARKY BARKY.

We are heart broken and devastated that we didnt even get to name our a dog we fell in love with, and received NO help, apology, or compassion from Arky Barky. We are also devastated that there will be NO financial refund.instead they insisted we take a Replacement dog, which is obviously not what we want, especially from a place that sells unhealthy dogs with no acceptability.

We pleaded to speak with the actual owner of Arky Barky who told the manager to relay to us "he did not want to get involved."

We made a huge mistake by walking in those doors, and now are obligated to pay for our unnamed, deceased dog, who we only spent 36 hours with.
