Managers Like to Rip-Off Residents

We lived there about 6 years ago and just got in the mail from a collection agency a letter stating charges that were put on our account and that they were reporting to the major credit reporting agencies. We are supposedly to owe them $905.00. When I called the manager directly she said that we did not leave a forwarding address with them, so this is why we are just now getting any info. That is such a lie, when we left we spent 3-4 hours cleaning the trailers down to the baseboards.

We had a deposit of $495.00 so we wanted to get that back. We were buying a house and of course we left our forwarding address so that we could get our deposit back. They even sent a bill to us for $45.00 a month after we moved for some unknown charges. We refused to pay that bill. Then when I go to dispute this charge on my credit report, we get this bill from the collection agency, for damages $275.00, unpaid rent $990.00, cleaning $85.00, late fees $50.00. We were floored to say the least.

There was an accident in the master bathroom that we got estimates for repair and even said we would have it repaired they said not to bother, our estimates were for $150.00 and that was the high estimate. We gave the estimates to them. Our rent was for $530.00 per month and we moved out at the beginning of the month, so no rent was due. We were never more that a few days late and so as for the so called late fee poo, as for the cleaning fee the home was perfectly clean when we left.

There were maintenance repairs they refused to do and I will not be paying for any repairs that they say were there. I have contacted the owners and the collection company and I am waiting for a response. These people are not honest and will try to bilk you for every penny they can get.
