Reading the above messages reminds me how glad I am that I left that unpaid "training". The "manager" of the Tucson branch of Cydcor was run by a man named Josh with an oversized suit and a salesman smile. He set me up with the job "opportunity" and assured everyone that with hard work we'd all be business owners. I made a few sales my first real day of training, but was skeptical about the illegitimate business practices that I witnessed and found out about, such as being required to attend those "rallies" (they're far from free), not offering benefits, unexplained "fees" and charges coming out of people's paychecks...

The "team leader" training me bragged about how easy it is to make a hundred dollars a day; well, not only did I never see him make even close to that in a day, but come on, a hundred dollars a day is about 25K a year... And this guy was working 7am to 6 or 7 pm with a short lunch break. For an 11 or 12 hour work day, that's barely 8 bucks an hour; and that with no benefits, wear & tear on his car, tired feet and no time to do anything except sleep and have nightmares about the next grueling day. He was also extremely rude to people who weren't interested in buying, and insisted that "no solicitors" signs were meant to be ignored, much to my embarassment when we were thrown out of two businesses in a row.
This poor guy was so pepped up on the bullsh*t.

He was driving a car that he had borrowed from someone, and only later on did I find out that it was because someone had smashed out the windows on his. These "team leaders", if an applicant decided during the day that this job had been misrepresented as "marketing to clients" (as in, established clients) rather than a shitty door-to-door sales job, then the team leader would NOT take them back to the office (where you had to leave your own car), but instead tell them that they can finad their own way home and just leave them wherever they happened to be (which in Tucson can be extremely far, as we're a spread-out town). I found that out because a friend of mine who was "interviewing " (ie being recruited as a slave for the manager) had that happen to her on the same day that I left.

So I was feeling still pissed off at the pep monkeys who worked there, when one day less than 3 weeks later I ran into one of the ladies who worked there at a store. She told me that the week before, she'd gotten a call from Josh the manager saying not to come to work that day; the system was down or something (this was a Friday), and when she & the others showed up on Monday the office was empty, totally cleaned out; he'd packed up & gone with everything - their paychecks included. He'd only been operating the Tucson office for a couple of months. They heard he went onto open another scam "office" in Georgia or somewhere. Well, I felt justified then in leaving, even more than I already did.

Ps - Rhinos are especially known for their poor vision and even poorer intellectual abilities.
