This company has repeatedly called me claiming my car's warranty is about to expire. The person on the line tells me to hold while he pulls up my file, then he puts me through to a recording telling me to press 1 to renew my warranty or press 2 if the warranty has already been renewed. The recording also directed me to contact the company at its toll-free number (866-343-4049.)
The company uses a fake Caller ID number (310-495-4517, which would be a Culver City, CA number) when calling. When I tried to call that number, I received a message saying it was not in service.
I called the toll-free number and got through to an operator. When I asked him to remove my number from their calling list, he pressed and held one of the phone buttons for several seconds. When I asked again, he hung up.
