Had me terminated for refusing a drug test, when both my log instructor and dispatch told me not to go

I was hired by Covenant Transportation when I finished my CDL truck driving school in Job Corp. I have only been driving for one year. They trained me and has been my only employer as a professional truck driver. I had some of the same complaints as others, won't pay, send half of the money. I experienced being at truck stops for days at a time waiting for a load as well.

What hurt me the most is after my year with them, they fired me and accused me of refusing to take a drug test. I was in Chattanooga on "lay over". I had to take a log class and my dispatch contacted me and said I needed to take a drug test. As I was about to leave the log class to do this, the log instructor told me that if I left that class, there would be no need to take the drug test. I contacted my dispatch and told him this. He told me to remain in the log class and to take the drug test the next day.

As I was on my way to be tested, my dispatch called me said I needed to leave Covenant premises because I was fired for refusing to take a drug test. I reminded him that both he and my log class instructor told me not to take it that day, but go the next day. He told me I was fired. This happened March 3. I have one year in as a professional truck driver. For the last 3 weeks, whenever I am about to be hired, this comes up no one will hire me.

I am 26 yrs old. This was going to be my career. I was tested throughout the year with Covenant and was always clean. I have no criminal record, never been in trouble with the law or drugs. I'm made to look like something I am not, and I can not find work. This company has hurt me greatly and I'm struggling to recover. It was unneccesary to lie and put that on my DAC. It would have been enough to just fire me for "anything", but not block me from driving for others. I hate the day I ever joined with them.

Somebody, help me find a company that gives second chances.
