Told I Could Record Two Shows, Referral Credit Never Applied

Do NOT believe anything in Direct TV's ads. They lie! I was told I could tape 2 shows while watching a third, but I cannot. I even asked about it when I signed up & was told yes, I could do that. I called them about it and was told I was misinformed.

I had a referral for which I & my referral were to get a $5/month credit for 6 months. My first bill came & there was no referral credit. I called again & was told I needed to call a special number to sign up or there would be no referral. Seems I was misinformed again!

Their customer service is terrible. The satellite service is just as bad: poor picture, it goes blank for no reason, and it takes forever to come back on after a power failure.
Save yourself the headache & use Dish Network. They are not perfect, but at least they do not lie to you and trick you into signing up for their poor service.
