Global Empire Marketing These guys fooled a major television program so I quess I'm not as stupid as I feel

I contacted this company, like alot of other people, just trying to get a small business started. They kept telling me to check out their credentials and endorsements, which I did. All seemed to be in order. I knew it was alot of money and I would have to pay with a credit care (just more debt). Luckily for me, I went on the lowest tier of their program, just over $9200.00. Ouch. They got some people for more than $14,000.00.

I started the program and wasn't at all happy with the service. Things they promised as part of the package just didn't happen. They were supposed to have had an accountant contact me which didn't happen. When I inquired about it I was told that this person left the company and they had no one else. The writing was on the wall!

Sadly, in Oct. 08, a member of my family became very ill and had to come and live with me to be taken care of. I called my "Mentor" to ask if I could put the program on hold. He was very nice and said just to call him when I was ready to continue. I did just that, now March 09, and was informed of the demise of the company. My Mentor is out over $6000.00 back pay that he never received.

I've checked the bancruptcy records in Utah, and the CEO, Daniel D. Wagner has really filed chapter 7. What to do now? The worst part is that I am normally so cautious about this type of thing. I thought I did my homework!

I know I will be spending much more time trying to get any of my money back. And hopefully, this story will help someone else to keep from getting ripped off, no matter how credible they may seem
