Half Off Stones -Jones Memorials Need a Head Stone? Don't count on it!

Our son was murdered on May 1. If this was not tragic in and of itself, what Half Off Stones did is inexcusable. Additionally, we are now raising his 5 year old twins and they are wondering why their daddy doesn't have a headstone. Explain that Marcus Jones and Wayne Monk!

We stumbled upon their web site, saw all the beautiful headstones and actually made contact with Wayne Monk, who worked for Half Off Stones. He seemed to be genuine, took our order and we sent our payment to Marcus Jones. Additionally, we sent a layout, and we were told that from the date the layout was approved, the head stone would be delivered within 6 - 8 weeks. After the 8 weeks had passed and still no headstone, we made contact with Wayne Monk, only to find that he no longer worked for the company. We did get a hold of Marcus Jone's voicemail, only to find that the mail box was full. After several attempts to get ahold of Marcus Jones, we did manage to get in contact with Wayne Monk, wherein he informed us that we needed to file with the BBB and the Attorney General's office. You guessed it, we were not going to get our head stone as promised. OH and the story doesn't end there! Remember that kind, genuine Wayne Monk, seems as though he is in cahoots with Marcus Jones. Silly us for trusting this man! He said that he would be able to get the headstone for our son and would reduce the cost. His website is Wayne Monk memorials and he is just as shady as Marcus Jones—again we got taken and still don't have a headstone.

If there is one thing that we have learned from this experience, is NEVER deal with companies on the internet that are not in your home town. DON'T pay with a cashiers check or personal check as there is no recourse. ONLY pay with a credit card.

Marcus Jones and Wayne Monk are the lowest of the lowest. They prey on people's vulnerabilities and take advantage of them. I hope others will take note and avoid doing business with these thieves!
