E-pet-express1
Pet delivery scam Littoral/Douala

Miscellaneous

I was having a yorkie puppy delivered to me from Viginia to Colorado and the breeder informed me that e-pet-express1 would be delivering the puppy.

On 2-13-09 I sent money to the breeder of $400.00 for the price of the puppy and flight expense (through Western Union with a fee of $42.00).

On 2-14-09 I received an email from e-pet-express1 stating I needed to pay $640.00 for pet health and flight insurance that would be refunded when the puppy was delivered. I contacted the breeder and she said to go ahead and pay it as the puppy had to have some vaccinations and health checked out and this would cover that with me receiving the money back (minus $20.00 for their fee). I sent money through Western Union again ($640.00 plus a $58.99 fee) to my breeder to take to e-pet-express1 for this refundable fee as e-pet-express1 wanted me to Western Union it to their main office in a country called Cameroon. Sounded fishy to me so I looked up VPI insurance on the internet and it is actually a pet insurance company. I sent the money to the supposedly breeder.

On 2-15-09 I received an email from e-pet-express1 again stating I needed to send them $650.00 for an electronic cage for the safety and security of the pet on the flight as it is heated and would protect her from the cold flight. All this time I'm thinking this poor puppy has been at this e-pet-express1 for 2 days. I then contact my breeder and she said this is a usual practice of the airlines and to please send the money. I send it to her so she can pay e-pet-express1.

On 2-16-09 I receive an email from e-pet-express1 and they say everything is taken care of and the puppy is in transit to Missouri where she will take a flight to Colorado.

This morning 2-17-09 I write an email to e-pet-express1 asking for her arrival time, etc. They send me an email back stating she is in Missouri at their care center getting examined by their Vet, that this will take quite a bit of time then she'll be on her way to Colorado. Between the breeder, Shonia Yates, the VPI Insurance and e-pet-express1 I have been ripped off for close to $2,000.00 and I'm sure the puppy will not be arriving today as they stated.
