Charged my account without me knowing

My bank account was also charged with the 17.93 I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone from that company. I called the bank thank god they worked with me and the overdraft fee and 17.93 are being credited back to my account. It still doesn't excuse them taking money from people. My bank informed me that alot of customers at Washington Mutual have had the same thing happen to them.

All I have to do now is close this account and re-open a new one, and cancel the direct deposit from my employer. To much to do for someone taking my money.
