Sold me a search process to advertise my website

Miscellaneous

On about January 5, I was offered a 6 month deal for advertising my website. The charge was $2985 and I was guaranteed x-number of hits to my website based on 3 keywords. The terms of the contract indicated the fee was non-refundable. To date, I have no response from any of the supposed hits. I have also learned that I was misled about what search engines would be showing my website including Google, Yahoo, and several others.

It turns out that only their very own "Webmenu" site actually shows my website. I have inquired twice now about this situation and get no satisfactory answer. Also, I was supposed to have received in the mail a packet of information along with the contract. I have received nothing.

Upon investigating this company, I have now learned that this company is in the business of scamming. I have no doubt been scammed too. I have reported my dispute to American Express who is the card company they use and one I used for the purchase. American Express now will be investigating this as well. Hopefully, a class action suit will be forthcoming to put this company out of business.
