Stole money and refuses to return it

A guy named Mike from hope modifications called me and was telling me how he could save my home and I was a perfect person cause I am unemployed and only recieving unemployment and child support. He knew all the right words to use to suck a person in. He told me how much it would cost which was $1250.00. We made dates on which it would get paid and how much. That night I was talking to my brother who said you better look into this company before you do anything.

So I did and discovered that they had a reputation of taking peoples money and not doing nothing for the consumer. So I immediatly called and told Mike I did not wish to use their services. He was upset and sent me BBB papers of Disney World telling me how all companies have complaints. I said I know but money is tight and emailed him the stuff I had and said I can't afford the chance. Mike called later and left me a voicemail basically saying call him and talk to him so he could reassure me he only wants to do what best and more then likely I will end up back with them in the end.

The next day he sent another email showing me how many complaints have been made against them and how many they resolved. So now from everything he has done and what I had read I knew all he wanted was the money so I went to the bank and put a stop payment which cost money. Now lets mention at no time have I ever sent any paperwork to this company. So of course they try to take the money and it gets stopped.

So I believed this was the end of it and let it go. And guess what in January they do back into my account and take money. I call my bank to put another stop payment but its to late. So I email hope modification and get Chris I tell him they never had an authorization to take money from my account. I told Mike in December I did not want their help, I also never sent any paperwork to them, and I put a stop payment last time they tried this and I wanted my money back my weeks end.

The week has come to an end no money. My house payment is late along with utility bills. And now the person that is suppose to take care of this wont correspond with me. She did monday but not on thursday or friday. Even after I told her I was going to report it to BBB.
