I had a very upsetting conversation with "Joe", a "supervisor" on the customer service desk. I had ordered flowers for my mother's 80th birthday, and when they did not arrive I called the customer service desk to inquire. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that is was Teleflora's policy NOT to give me information on anything. No information on whether or not the flowers were being delivered, had been delivered, were en route — no information on who was responsible for delivering the flowers, so I could call and inquire for myself — no transfer to other departments who might be able to help me. "Joe" was very dispassionate as he describe the company's Policies, and continued to reiterate the he "couldn't" do anything, that "no-one" would talk to me, that i "was allowed" to know who was delivering the flowers, and that there were NO supervisors or managers available to help me with the problem. He could not transfer me to the department who researched such problems, and he could not/would not find a supervisor. He was essentially a waste of time, a roadblock to good customer service and maddeningly incompetent.
I order lots of flowers for friends, family, and on special occasions. I typically use another online service, but had decided to try out another one. Unfortunately, I tried it on a very important occasion, and was disgustedd and upset that the service was so horrific.
I will not use Teleflora service again. And as far as I am concerned I will recommend to anyone who asks me that they not use the service either. They did a good job of getting rid of a customer today.
