First Choice Power had a person going from door to door in my neighborhood soliciting business. I was ask by my daughter would i come and listen and see if that what he is saying is a good deal. I listen to what he had said and I told him I was not interesting in switching from my provider because I have had good success with them. I told him beside what he is saying I would like to see that in writing. I told my daughter she needed to get it in writing about what he is saying. He told us you will get it in writing but they will need a address as to where to send it. He gave me the sheet and said when the package come in after I review if I did not like it I could call the phone number and cancel the service. I told him over again I am not signing up for no service and again he said no this is to get the package. This was deceptive on the lowest terms and I did catch it after reading what he had filled out on that paper. I immediately call the number listed to call to cancel what he had done and was told I had nothing else to do it would not be processed. This was false because while waiting for my regular utility bil I received a return on my deposit. I called my utility provider and asked them why did they send me the return of my deposit with final bil. They told me I have been switched and I told them I have not authorized. I ask them what do I do whith the check and I was told that I could cash it and when service is switch back I would not be required to make another deposit because I have been with them so long. I was told that an investigation will be done and they would let me know but in the meanwhile I had to pay the provider that switch me. I told her i had no problem with paying this bill i just wanted to get this straighten out because I did not authorize this change. Well this nightmare have continue back and forth with First Choice Power about this deceptive practice and once was told they was switching me back and later see they had not. I phone the BBB and was told that they gave me false iniformation when I was told the representative that came to the door was a private firm and was not a representative of FCP. I have received bil that have reached nearly 700.00 in one month and have contacted them about this and was told the reader could not read the meter. I ask them how could they not read the meter when there is not that have ever blocked the meter reader from reading my meter and I have been here nearly 20yrs. First Choice Power fail to take responsibilities for there action. After months of constantly havinig to try and end this nightmare. The CEO of the my provider I was switched from got me switch back like I was suppose to. After all the over billing and hardship, anguish and stress this company have cause me then they wanted to send me a final bill with a 199.00 earily termination fee on it. I have tried to resolve this additional greed they seek with no avail. The number listed on the web site that I could talk to the CEO or Pres. Only get you back to the same off and the same run around. These peoples are arrogant and inconsiderate and how can a business place these supervisor in a position that let them tell you the buck stop with me. This termination fee I am and should not be responsible for because from day on I have and will not except this company as my proviver.
